How we are raising funds locally for this project?

Starting at our Carol Service 2005 we have been distributing 500ml bottles of spring water to anyone who will then undertake to fill the bottle with coins - approximately £10 - which provides water for life for a family. The table below shows the number of £10 units we have raised

How can you get involved?

Download a bottle label - get yourself a water bottle and you are off! Bring the bottle filled with coins back to church (we will send you a receipt). Come back often to check on progress. If your school, college, workplace or club would like to get involved we would be happy to come along and present an assembly or short talk on the subject and give out water bottles .

Watershed Update

July 2009 Update - Within the last few days we have received confirmation that work on the construction of a new borehole in the deprived Pearon district of Zimbabwe - to be funded by money raised through the church - is to commence during July. This will provide an accessible source of clean water to a large community which includes a primary school attended by around 250 pupils. We have requested that pictures of the work be made available to us and will post them on the website as and when they are received.

The Pearson project is being funded by money raised in June 2008 when a team of church members completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge, which involved climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in a 24 hour period. The team banked over three thousand pounds for Watershed through generous sponsorship.

In addition to funding the work in Pearson, the church has raised further monies in aid of Watershed which will be used for future projects, details of which will be posted on the website in due course.
